I grew up in the south in the 50's. Even being young I saw what was going on. I look back and realize what a terrible time that was. I also saw the changes for the better. I pray I am around to see this latest attack on Amwerica change.

You've hit the nail on the head here.

I remember my dad telling me about the day he found the KKK garb in his father-in-law's garage. This was a man that he looked up to, a very religious family man, and this took him by surprise. When dad asked him about it, he apparently was very sheepish about it and his explanation for joining was that he was attracted to the anti-Catholic part alone. He also had a Black Hills Gold ring with KKK engraved inside. This was in South Dakota, probably late 30's when dad found it, and how active he had been we're not sure. Something tells me he regretted joining yet he kept the white "uniform" and the ring so maybe not.

To fully understand how the Second Klan met its demise in the 1920s I strongly recommend the book A FEVER IN THE HEARTLAND by Timothy Egan. He documents how the Klan was exposed and defeated. Today, the Epstein files have the same potential to expose the leaders of the MAGA movement in much the same way, which is why Trump and his allies will do anything (including starting a war with Iran) to divert attention away from what those files will show. I hope and pray that justice will prevail once again.
