AI is becoming astonishingly good at knowing things and doing things. Aristotle had a name for the kind of judgment that comes only from living with the consequences.
This essay is the most thoughtful review of AI and what it means to the human experience that I have read. This is way beyond the sheep's pay grade. Nice job. I view AI in the same vein as I view nuclear power: it has tremendous opportunity to do good and tremendous ability to do evil. With AI we have opened another Pandora's box for which we have little wisdom and even less incentive to use these new powers wisely. This situation does not leave a good feeling in my gut. I envy Aristotle.
It is such a pleasure to read the first human approach to the impact of AI and to leave it me with a basis on which to sift and apply all that AI can provide me, thank you Justin
Superb piece! I wish that age brought wisdom to all of us. Unfortunately, our leaders seemed to have missed the lessons of life and experience. In King Lear, the fool tells Lear, "Thou shouldst not have been old till thou hadst been wise."

.....I think the sheep may know all this instinctively? But it is great to have you translate for us...
