Whitney announced today that America has officially entered its Needs a Snack and a Nap Era, following months of political rage, expensive groceries, war headlines, election anxiety, and adults yelling at strangers through phones.
“I have reviewed the symptoms,” she said. “Irritability. Impulsive decisions. Catastrophic thinking. Refusal to share. We are dealing with an overtired nation.”
Her treatment plan calls for every American to receive a small plate containing apple slices, cheese, five crackers, and absolutely no breaking news.
Fancy Pants asked whether this was sufficient for a country dealing with inflation, political distrust, international conflict, and an approaching midterm election.
Whitney handed him a juice box.
“Drink this before you say ‘institutional collapse.’”
Marvin initially rejected the program after discovering the crackers were unsalted. Three minutes later he was asleep against the fence.
Janet proposed mandatory quiet time for Congress from 1:00 to 2:30 each afternoon. Any lawmaker caught posting during the rest period would lose screen privileges until dinner.
Simone supported the snack component but demanded universal access.
Bruce and Frankie immediately launched NAPFEST, a three-day wellness experience featuring weighted blankets, ambient house music, and a VIP recovery tent sponsored by Liquid I.V.
By late afternoon, the pasture had become noticeably calmer.
Nobody refreshed a poll, watched cable news, or attempted to solve the Middle East in a Facebook comment.
Fancy Pants woke from a short nap and looked around.
“This feels better,” he admitted.
Whitney nodded.
“Wonderful. Now imagine if the whole country stopped talking for twenty minutes.”

Love this!
Yes, please 🧃… and I don’t even like juice. 😉
