Marvin placed the farmhouse kitchen under heightened surveillance today after learning that Samsung is rolling out new AI features to refrigerators, including Google Gemini, smarter voice controls, and technology capable of recognizing food placed inside.
“It knows what you eat,” Marvin whispered. “It knows when you eat it. Eventually it develops a theory about why.”
Fancy Pants explained that the technology is designed to help families track groceries, recommend recipes, and make everyday life more convenient.
Marvin wrote CONVENIENT FOR WHOM? on the whiteboard.

Fancy Pants asked whether this seemed excessive.
“The refrigerator has a camera, artificial intelligence, my grocery history, and an internet connection,” Marvin replied.
He paused.
“I used to open this thing and see milk.”
The refrigerator chimed.
You may be running low on Rosemary Triscuits.
Marvin slowly backed out of the kitchen.
“It found them.”
